credit card & section 75 consumer credit act


I have had problems with a 2nd hand car – paid for with my credit card. I took the car back to the retailer twice & they failed to fix it. I have made a claim against my credit card & they say they want me to take the car back to the retailer for a third time. I don’t want to/don’t trust the dealer. Should I stand my ground with the credit card co,. I am aware i can take this to the financial ombudsman if I don’t agree with the credit card co. final position. Should i threaten them with that now? Any advice gratefully received.
