Heating Fuel Leaks – Home Insurance

My Aviva home insurance contains provisions for “Tracing and accessing leaks”, as well as “Leakage of heating fuel and metered water”. It also covers “Heating fuel leaking from a fixed heating system.”. I spoke to one of their advisers about making a claim for a gas leak at my property, and was told that gas leaks are not covered by the insurance, and heating fuel means oil. Is this correct? I find it hard to believe heating fuel is not inclusive of gas? Gas is not excluded in any of the policy wordings. Is anyone able to shed some light on this please.

Many thanks!
