Shire boss Flemming Ornskov saw his pay halve to £3.7million last year.
The chief executive of the Irish pharma firm pocketed a £1.2million salary and about £2.5million in other bonuses.
This was down from £7.5million in 2016, according to the annual report yesterday.
It comes after shareholders revolted against Ornskov’s £15million pay package in 2015, with nearly half opposing the 25 per cent increase at the time.
The Dane has been boss since 2013.
He has 55,546 shares, which are worth £1.6million.
