Share sale: Uswitch boss Steve Weller made £2.4m
The boss of Uswitch has made £2.4m after selling stock in its parent firm.
Steve Weller offloaded 500,138 shares in ZPG – which owns the energy switching service as well as property site Zoopla – for 488.15p each.
He has been at Uswitch since 2006 and became chief executive seven years ago.
He oversaw the company’s 2015 acquisition by ZPG for £190million, a deal which netted £16million for managers.
The Mail’s parent company Daily Mail and General Trust owns around 30 per cent of ZPG.
