It looks that way because when logging into my online account i’m seeing a big notice saying that my Everyday Amex account will be changing on 28th July, my account number will be changing and I’ll be getting a new card in the post by September. This suggests they’ll be replacing it by Visa or Mastercard, most likely the former.
When I called customer services yesterday, they weren’t giving much away saying they’ll send me the new t&c’s through the post by June end. All they could confirm was that my account will DEFINITELY be changing.
I just hope they keep the attractive perks on the new card:
* 0% commission on overseas transactions
* Free cash withdrawals both in UK and overseas, subject to interest applied
* Low APR of 7.4% (useful for cash withdrawals)
