I had an accident yesterday in the icy snowy conditions. Came round a bend at about 26/27 mph and as i’ve gone to straighten the brakes just didnt engage and I skid and hit into the back of a parked car on a one lane street. Sadly i’ve just realised my MOT has expired. I have asked the girl to get a quote for the damage to her car, which is only slight, and I’ll pay for that without going down insurance route. However the front of my car is significantly worse, without being horrendous. I feel this will cost too much to sort out of my own pocket. Will the insurance company pay out for the car without the MOT if (a) it is repairable or (b) – it is deemed a write off.
Thanks in advance
