Stanley Gibbons, the sickly stamp firm, has named an investment analyst as its new chief executive.
Graham Elliott Shircore joined the 162-year-old business’s board as a non-executive in March after his employer Phoenix Asset Management bought a 58 per cent stake.
He has worked for Aviva Investors and Rothschild Private Wealth Management.
Stanley Gibbons has struggled with declining sales, and suffered a £3.1million loss in the six months to September 30.
