Tesco Life Insurance – Protection Promise

[ad_1]

Hi all, I’m new to the world of forums so please be patient with me if I make any mistakes!

In 2014 I applied for life insurance for myself and my husband through Tesco. I remember they declined my application but I don’t have any documents to confirm this or the date the decision was made. As it turned out my husband was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia 20 days after the date my insurance application was made (I have tesco’s Email with the application reference number). Anyway – with things being so hectic at home I completely forgot I had applied for this until I was clearing out my old emails yesterday.

My question is: The email stated I had applied for life insurance and critical illness cover for myself and my husband and mentions being underwritten by Aviva and a period of ‘free cover’ until a decision was made on my application. Does anyone know if the free cover applies to the critical illness cover or just the life insurance aspect? (My husband’s treatment was thankfully successful and is still in remission.)

Many thanks in advance for your help.
