My darling daughter accidentally spilt water over my Macbook. I turned off immediately and kept it upside down for a few days and took it to the Mac store to revive. Unfortunately, the damage was done to the screen and not the hard drive. I can retrieve the data but the repair cost for the screen is £850 (near price of a new laptop)
I checked my contents insurance and I only have limited accidental coverage. Can I still claim for this accident/loss of contents?
I’ve heard that if I make a claim and it’s unsuccessful that not only do do I not get the money, but the fact I claimed will affect my insurance next time I renew. Is this true? And if so, is it worth me claiming at b all?
